Prospective Teachers Were Trained with Concrete Manipulatives and 3D Software (LEGO MoreToMath)

Four lessons consisting of activities focusing on problem solving, comprehension, fluency and reasoning skills using LEGO MoreToMath concrete manipulatives and MathBuilder software were taught to 3rd year undergraduate teacher candidates of our Faculty's Basic Education Classroom Teaching Department by Dr. Habibe KAZEZ-GÜNEŞ, one of the research assistants of computer and instructional technologies. In the lesson, accompanied by Dr. Lecturer Yasemin KUBANÇ, the instructor of the Mathematics Teaching course, the teacher candidates modeled the questions using the software and the curriculum. The lesson, enriched with 3D rotation and modeling, provided the teacher candidates with an enjoyable learning experience.
