April 23 Children's Festival at Güneykent Preschool

As the Department of Basic Education, we organized a Children's Festival at Elazığ Güneykent Kindergarten to celebrate April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day.

Our festival was attended by our Department of Basic Education Head, Prof. Dr. Mustafa UĞRAŞ, Elazığ Provincial Directors of National Education Deputy Directors Mr. Harun GÜNDÜZ and Mr. Nahit YEREBASAN, Güneykent Kindergarten Principal Ms. Yasemin DURAK, as well as our department's Preschool Teaching undergraduate students, children and their precious families.

The school principal, Ms. Yasemin DURAK, who is also a graduate of our Preschool Teaching undergraduate program, congratulated the children on the holiday in her speech about the meaning and importance of the day and thanked our Department of Basic Education Head, Prof. Dr. Mustafa UĞRAŞ and our Preschool Teaching students for their contributions.
Our department students welcomed the guests by offering them candy and cologne at the beginning of the program and then took close care of the children throughout the program. Our students and children dressed in mascot costumes and performed choreographic dances accompanied by lively children's songs. In addition, many games and competitions were held to develop children's motor skills. Children who felt the excitement of April 23 more intensely through these events had a very fun time with their families. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the realization of this meaningful program.
